Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week

Presented by the Graduate Student Assembly of the University of Texas at Austin and Supported in part by the University Co-Op and Geico Insurance

Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week helps build community between graduate students on UT's campus. Most graduate students rarely meet anyone outside their department and this series of events gives them the opportunity to do so in many different ways. Building community between students is one of the core values of the University of Texas and GPAW will improve student experience by allowing students from different disciplines to meet and socialize in various settings throughout the week.

Graduate Student Pizza Party

Wellness Fair for Graduate Students

Free health, diet, sexuality, relaxation resources and information for attendees

Tuesday, March 31

OGS Open House and Coffee Hour

9:30am - 10:30am, Office of Graduate Studies Student Lounge (MAI 101)
Stop by to meet OGS administrators and staff members.
Free breakfast tacos and coffee provided to attendees

Interdisciplinary Bowling Challenge

6:00-8:00pm, Texas Union Underground
Find out what combination of departments has what it takes to win (details & registration online).
Free pizza, drinks and bowling will be provided to participants

Wednesday, April 1

Workshop - Financial Resources and Information for Graduate Students

2:30pm - 4:00pm, Texas Union, Eastwood Rooms
Come hear from our panel of UT administrators and coordinators about all things financial - from tax credits to funding opportunities - for graduate and professional students.
Free refreshments provided to attendees

Graduate Student Film and Photography Showcase

Come out and enjoy short films created by your fellow graduate students here at UT! Free food and beer provided to attendees

Graduate Research Showcase

Join this opportunity to either present or hear about your fellow graduate students' research through panels, paper presentations, or poster sessions.
